Blogwatching the US Political Scene

December 8th, 2007 by askweb20

Web 2.0 is everywhere—you can see in the entertainment industry, in the economics of the country, and even in the upcoming United States Federal elections.

Candidates are wooing their party mates for the presidential nominations. They are not only doing that from coast to coast, they have also invaded the blogosphere. Political issues, climate change, taxes, and the War on Terror among others are being picked on by countless bloggers.

Watchblog has put together around 50 bloggers and their thoughts on the important issues surrounding the campaign trail. The interface features different headlines and if you click on one that interests you, you will be taken to the full story.

Republicans and Democrats are represented there and everyone who is in between—independents and the third party. The top issues being talked about are the environment, the role of China in international relations, religion and politics, especially the membership of Mitt Romney to the Mormon religion. Of course, the war in Iraq is still a hot issue.

The campaign trail will still wind a long way and the world is watching as the world’s only remaining Superpower chooses its next leader. Who’s it gonna be?

The world is watching. So do bloggers.
