One of BusinessWeek’s columnists has taken an interest in the rise of Web 2.0 and the way it is invading the Internet. Sarah Lacy has regularly browsed through Web 2.0 sites in search of materials regarding businesses using this platform. She also featured quite a few Web 2.0 entrepreneurs who made it big time. Her writings brought her to the gates of Silicon Valley and into other companies operating in the Web 2.0 platform.
Perhaps she realized that she had enough material for a book, or perhaps out of sheer willingness to share these articles to Web 2.0 enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and anybody interested, she compiled her articles into a 300-page volume.
Her book is entitled Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good: The Rebirth of Silicon Valley and the Rise of Web 2.0. Whew! That’s quite a mouthful of a title and I bet you might not be able to say it with one breath. It doesn’t matter if you can or not. What matters is that Lacy has written a veritable history of Web 2.0 as it interfaces with different companies such as those at Silicon Valley. The book is set to be released by May this year. If you can’t wait to lay your hands on it, you can go to Amazon.com or other book sites.
